Christianity: Boring, Untrue, Irrelevant?
A retired friend of mine grew up in a small coastal town, in a cottage on the edge of a beautiful lagoon. It was a small house, but solidly built. Many years later, after his family had moved out of the house, a great storm hit the town and the house slid off its piers and into the lagoon. The house had some good foundations. The piers were solidly sunk into the earth. But over the years the linkages connecting the house to the foundations had become loose and ineffective. When a storm came, because the house had lost its connection with its foundations, it was destroyed.
